[Poem] : Darkness of Light

Darkness of Light

What game do you play
In the darkness of light
Why cry you today
Oh my beautiful child?
Thy sacrifice here
Oh my sister, my love
I bleed for your dying
As He from above.

What right do you have
To deal me this hand?
To embrace me with pain
So that I'll understand?
Shall I be unforgiven
For smiling too much?
Shall you despise me
When I cringe at your touch?

Your daggers are dull
Oh my sorrowful child
And I feel them no more
Thou hast me reviled.
Your cross I have carried
Your wounds I have bound
Your scars I have mended
And hate have I found.

"The Luckiest Year"

Originally written for the Fifteen Minute Challenge on CBn.

It was a pleasure to burn.Collapse )

"Something Wicked"

Requires knowledge of the modern Bond Movieverse. Owes itself almost entirely to Ray Bradbury's Something Wicked This Way Comes.

Highly questionable for children.

Aunt Charmain chuckled. 'If they didn’t look so different, I’d swear they were brothers.'Collapse )

[Poem] : Gold and Glass

Gold and Glass

He took a quiz: What is your heart really made of? I took it, too. This poem is the result.

Tested in fire -
Through and through.

Melted from sand -
Fragile and clear.

Through burning, you become refined
Melted dignity, love entwined
But flames have left me stained and cracked
A heart of darkness - a heart of black.

The incomparable beauty of gold on glass
But incomparable beauty never lasts.
Glass can be shattered and gold can be marred
Even hard hearts can be broken and scarred.

Le Cantique des Cantiques:
Une petite histoire au sujet des personnages originaux

This was written for a French assignment; I haven't made any of the changes that the teacher suggested, so I'm sure there are numerous technical errors. However, those of you Francophones who want to see how much I suck in the language - enjoy! (English translation pending; I have a very basic one, but it doesn't flow well. I'm working on it.)
